2023 Moxie Awards Event Recap

PFund’s Moxie Awards celebrate the people working everyday to make the upper Midwest a region where queer people can thrive. In 2023, PFund awarded two awards:

  • The 2023 Moxie Award for Outstanding Individual went to Nadine Ashby. Nadine runs Doula4All and is dedicated to providing accessible birthing services, with a particular emphasis on serving queer communities, people of color, and low-income individuals.

  • The 2022 Moxie Ward for Outstanding Organization wen to The Lavender Legal Center. The center provides legal representation and related advocacy by and for LGBTQ people in Iowa.

The program was emceed by the fabulous drag queen Galaxy Nebula Universe and held at the Woman’s Club of Minneapolis. Special thanks to our presenting sponsor, UBS, and additional sponsors Bremer Bank, Roya, No Place Like Home, and Minuteman Press Uptown.
