Bisexual+ Fund 2022 Grants Announced

The PFund Board of Directors has approved two general operating grants to the following organizations for their work serving communities that identify as bisexual, omnisexual, pansexual, polysexual, or sexually fluid.

  • Bisexual Organizing Project ($2,000)

Bisexual Organizing Project is a non-profit based in Minnesota that serves the Upper Midwest. The organization engages the bisexual, pansexual, fluid, queer, and unlabeled (bi+) community through regular events such as meet ups, book clubs, and an annual national conference. In the wake of the COVID pandemic, BOP is working to rebuild the Bi+ community through directed efforts in increasing the board’s engagement and securing guest speakers for the annual conference.  BOP reports that approximately 200 individuals will be impacted by their efforts this year.

  • SEWA-AIFW (Asian Indian Family Wellness) ($1,000)

SEWA-AIFW is a nonprofit that serves South Asian immigrant and refugee populations including Indian, Pakastani, Bangla, Nepali and other groups. This organization meets the wellness needs of the South Asian community by incorporating culturally specific strategies in engagement. The South Asian Queer League, a program under SEWA-AIFW, offers peer-to-peer support for bisexual individuals in a culturally responsive manner. The program also encourages culturally- and linguistically-appropriate health discussions in households to advocate for bisexual rights and dignity. SEWA-AIFW's South Asian Queer League is slated to serve 50 individuals this year.
