The May Day Cafe Workers Cooperative is a worker-owned cafe and coffee shop offering a wide range of breakfast, lunch, bakery, and drinks all scratch made in-house. While the cafe has been a staple in South Minneapolis since the late 90s, it has been fully cooperatively owned and operated since January 2025. Our cooperative mission is to be a home for dignified and meaningful labor, affordable food, and community connection in the heart of the Powderhorn neighborhood.
