The Transformation Project, Inc. was founded in 2019 in response to the lack of affirming resources, advocacy, and community spaces for transgender and gender-diverse people in South Dakota. Established and led by transgender community members, the organization has grown into a trusted, statewide hub for advocacy, education, and direct support, serving more than 1,500 individuals annually through community-based programs and policy engagement.
