Gender Justice was founded in July 2010 by attorneys Jill Gaulding and Lisa Stratton. It was established on the belief that every person deserves to live a life free from discrimination no matter their gender. Throughout the past 15 years, Gender Justice has won pivotal cases in Minnesota advancing protections related to gender discrimination, reproductive freedom, and trans rights. Over the past two years, we have also expanded our work to include litigation, advocacy, organizing and narrative change work in North Dakota. What happens in North Dakota reverberates nationwide. By building deep, long-term partnerships and presence, we’ll support communities on the frontlines, challenge harmful bans and restrictions in court, and help shift the public narrative around gender and freedom.
