The Community Uplift Program was established in 2016 to advance visibility, safety, and resource access for queer individuals across our region. In its early years, the organization launched the Harbor Health Clinic as part of the Community Uplift Program, providing direct, identity‑affirming health services to LGBTQ+ community members. After assessing long‑term capacity and community needs, we transitioned the program into the Harbor Health Initiative one year later, shifting from a clinic model to a virtual resource hub that allows us to sustainably expand provider vetting, health navigation, and visibility for LGBTQ‑competent care. Both the organization and the Harbor Health Initiative continue to operate with the core purpose of strengthening resources, inclusion, and equitable access for queer people.
