Rainbow Play Date at the Beach

Rainbow Collective for Change hosts monthly Rainbow Play Dates to build connection and a sense of belonging for LGBTQIA+ families with kids ages 0-12.

All Rainbow Play Dates are held at parks in various geographic locations around the Twin Cities Metro Area and surrounding suburbs and provide coffee, snacks, and art activities for LGBTQIA+ families. Additionally, the Out & About Book Bus – a mobile library with LGBTQIA+ and gender affirming children’s books – is present at all Rainbow Play Dates between May and October.

RCC’s July Rainbow Play Date will be at Shady Oak Beach in Hopkins. The Rainbow Play Date at the Beach will take place from 10am-3pm and include coffee, lunch, and snacks for families at the pavilion set aside from the main beach area. Families will also have an opportunity to enjoy quiet time with books in the Out & About Book Bus and all children will be able to take a book home with them.
