PFund awards $256,000 in grants to strengthen rural queer communities across the Upper Midwest
PFund Foundation is thrilled to announce the 2025 cohort of PRISM Fund grantees, selected by a group of volunteer LGBTQ+ and ally reviewers from across the Upper Midwest. Twenty rural, LGBTQ+ serving nonprofits across our five-state region are receiving a collective total of $256,000 in grant funding.
PFund Foundation solicited applications from LGBTQ+ serving organizations across the region who specifically work with rural communities. In addition to recruiting new PRISM grant applications, current PRISM grantees were encouraged to apply for a second year of funding. Award amounts range from $5,000 to $30,000 and grant recipients are from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and North Dakota.
Of the 20 2024-25 PRISM grantees, two are first-time PRISM grantees, and the remaining organizations are previous PRISM grantees who have had their funding renewed. Grantees receive general operating and professional development funds over the course of 12 months.
Flexible grant support is provided so that organizations may use the funds in the ways that would help the most. PRISM grantees also participate in the PRISM Alliance, a virtual work group that meets monthly to participate in capacity-building trainings and activities. The PRISM Alliance is a way for nonprofit leaders to connect, collaborate, organize, problem-solve and learn together.
