The FDA reviewed data from clinical trials and determined that the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for 5-11-year-olds is safe and provides protection against COVID-19.
The next step is to get final recommendations from CDC this week before providers start giving the vaccine. We’re working to make sure it is widely, equitably, and efficiently available.
There will be a diverse network of more than 1,100 providers and schools in Minnesota where kids can get vaccinated.
