Executive Director Announcement
The PFund Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Aaron Zimmerman, CFRE will be our Executive Director. For the past 4 months, Aaron has diligently served as our Interim Executive Director and prior as the Director of Development. After significant deliberation, we believe continuity, organizational knowledge, and strong relationships are critical to PFund Foundation’s programs and to our communities in a significant time of change.
We are excited for Aaron to bring to life our three-year strategic plan which outlines a strong future for our organization and the impact we hope to see in our communities. PFund Foundation is committed to ensuring our grantmaking and scholarships remain community led and aimed at impact. He will also lead our programming including our leadership development program—the Emerging Leaders Initiative. As we re-invigorate our endowment and other strategies for lasting investment in our communities, we will work in partnership to utilize his expertise as a development professional.
Originally from Wisconsin, Aaron is passionate to support these five states in our service region—Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Aaron has spent the last ten years raising millions of dollars for LGBTQ and social justice causes in our communities, including Domestic Abuse Project, Family Tree Clinic, and the Red Ribbon Ride, where he served as Interim Executive Director. With a Master’s Degree in Philanthropy and Development from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and his Certified Fundraising Executive credential, Aaron will continue to center community relationships that can jointly build a future where LGBTQ individuals and communities live free from violence, isolation, fear, and inequity.
Join us on Thursday, February 25 at 7:00 PM via Zoom for our virtual 2021 Moxie Awards to welcome Aaron and learn more about how PFund Foundation works to impact the community.
