Do This, Not That!
Spread holiday cheer, not COVID-19. Consider some of these activities in place of the traditions that might have to take a break this year:
- Have a smaller dinner with the people you live with, instead of hosting larger parties with friends and family this year.
- Going for a walk is the perfect way to get some fresh air. Grab the people who live with you and check out some cool holiday decorations in the neighborhood.
- Don’t rule out trivia and game nights. Host a virtual gathering with friends and family and play the night away. Many websites and apps have free games that can be played virtually. Bonus that no one needs to make the trek home.
- Even though some things are cancelled, football Sunday isn’t. Keep on rooting for your favorite teams from the safety of your couch with the people you live with.
Option 1: Be the host, without all the host duties. Throw a virtual party instead with friends and family!
Option 2: Dinner for one, but party for 10. Host a virtual dinner with all your friends and family, but skip the hard work of prepping and cleaning.
Don’t put the people you love at risk for getting COVID-19. No activity is worth jeopardizing your own health and the health of those you love. This holiday season will have to look different, but open yourself up to trying some of these activities. Who knows…maybe you will even start some new traditions!
