One of the most frustrating aspects of day-to-day living in this ongoing nightmare of a pandemic is the difficulty of making decisions to keep yourself and your family safe. So much of the guidance from the federal authorities has been confusing and poorly communicated (at PFund Foundation, we’re too classy to name names, but please know that we are giving them all the side eye).
We have been trying to sort out the issue of what to do about boosters and keeping up with the latest guidance. It’s been especially frustrating since a couple of us are J&J vax recipients, and as of this writing, there’s still no official guidance for the roughly 14 million Americans who got the J&J shot.
One of the most useful things we’ve found to help us feel less confused (though, honestly, the guidance is still confusing) is listening to this recent episode of Andy Slavitt’s In the Bubble podcast. It’s an interview with Dr. David Agus and Tom Moriarty of CVS Health and is a solid overview of where we are at and what we are still learning about booster shots.
