Avoid COVID-19 Scams
How to tell if it is a scam:
-
They ask for your personal or credit card information- The Minnesota Department of Health and health care providers will never contact you and ask for your credit card, bank account, or Social Security number in order to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
-
They offer to sell you the vaccine- The vaccine is free. If you get a call or email where the person is offering the vaccine at a low price, this is a scam. The vaccine is free to everyone no matter if you have insurance or what your immigration status is.
-
They offer to ship you the vaccine- You will need to get the vaccine from a medical professional. The vaccine cannot be shipped directly to you.
