Kevin Xiong is currently the Director of Human Resources at Hmong American Partnership. He has over 10 years of experience in HR, diversity/inclusion, employee relations, benefits/compensation analysis, and talent management. He was also the first ever Executive Director of Shades of Yellow (SOY) from 2007 to 2010 providing advocacy, leadership, and organizational development to the first ever and only Hmong LGBTQ organization in the world.
In 2009, Kevin received the PFund Foundation Moxie award. He also took part in the PFund Foundation Racial Equity Initiative where he focused on financial accountability for nonprofits. He has a Master’s Degree in Professional Development and Human Relations and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Human Resources Management. He also has a graduate certification in Diversity Awareness from Amberton University. Kevin currently mentors three LGBTQ youth through the University of Minnesota and Ramsey County. This is what he enjoys most; thus, he hopes to soon introduce a LGBTQ advocacy and leadership program at Hmong American Partnership.
