We require for you to fill out the online application form. You will need two letters of recommendation from people who know you and can tell us about your commitment to leadership in LGBTQIA communities. References can include mentors, community members, school counselors or academic advisors.
Do I have to be enrolled at a post-secondary or academic institution?
No. We also grant leadership awards to people invested in the LGBTQIA community seeking to develop their leadership skills, maintain their work as a community activist or organizer, or need financial assistance to attend conferences and workshops that will enhance their skills.
I chose a post-secondary enrollment option, what types of institutions qualify?
All post-secondary institutions qualify including traditional four-year colleges and universities, technical and trade schools, and certificate programs.
Is there an age range you support?
We support people across the age spectrum, 17 years of age and older. If you are 17, we do require parental consent for confidentiality and press release.
What is the selection process?
PFund Foundation uses a community-driven review process to identify and recognize leaders. The committee is made up of LGBTQA and allied volunteers who diligently review applications, select finalist and recommend awards to the Board of Directors for approval. Once the Board approves the recommendations, we will notify all applicants via email and mail.
